INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Filling and lighting the lamp: The oil lamp must be off and cold when refilling. - Remove the burner glass and unscrew the burner. - Fill the lamp about two-thirds full with oil. Use a funnel to catch any spills. - Replace the burner with the wick in place and let the wick soak in oil for about 20 to 30 minutes. - Light the lamp and adjust the flame height using the screw on the side of the burner. - Replace the burner glass. Please note that it may be necessary to adjust it so that it is perfectly straight. Once the glass is straight, use the metal fasteners on the burner to stabilize it. To extinguish the lamp: Extinguish the flame by slowly lowering the wick until it goes out or by blowing on it. Important: The burner glass will be extremely hot after a period of use. Place the lamp on a flat surface, away from any flammable materials. Also, ensure there is about one meter of clear space above the lamp. Never leave it unattended and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Lamp oil is very toxic if ingested. If ingested, do not induce vomiting and contact a poison control center for advice.
